The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Tuesday, July 1 reveals Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will linger in Genoa City a little too long.
Also coming up, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will have grill Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers). Plus, Cane will give Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) a list of people to connect with. And Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will agree to Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) demand.
Y&R spoilers tease Billy will arrange for a private dinner for he and Sally in their room. “French fries, with hot sauce,” he’ll tell her, lifting a lid from a plate. “I know what you’re doing,” she’ll reply. “This whole distraction thing is not gonna work.”

Sally will add it’s charming and fun and so like him. “How can I be charmed when I know this is your way of blowing me off.” So, he’ll tell her to look under the dessert tray. There’ll be a piece of paper that says Sally on it. She’ll open it up and it’s a promise, in writing, that if Billy ever takes over Chancellor, she’ll be in charge of Abbott Communications.
Meanwhile, Nick and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will talk about how their lives are on hold while they’re stuck in France. Damian and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will arrive and Nick will say he’d love to hear the inside story on Cane. But Damian will say he saw him for the first time when the rest of them did.
Nick will say he was hoping to learn what makes Cane tick. “The Cane that you know is far different from the Cane Ashby that we know.” Damian will say he had very little contact with Cane. While they’re chatting, Lily will eat and look as bored as viewers will be, having to watch this boring conversation.
Then Nick will mention Lily has been quiet. And she’ll say it’s tough to hear all this talk about a man she used to love. “What’s even more difficult is being forced to face Cane and his stupid games every day.”
Damian will say the question they should be asking themselves is what Cane Ashby is going to do. “Especially now that we all know who he is.” Lily will talk about the Count Of Monte Cristo. “The protagonist, he comes back to town to seek revenge.” Sharon will say that’s not good.
In Genoa City, Holden will tell Cane he’s excited to finally meet him. Cane will say he trusts he’s kept their arrangement under the radar. Holden will say no one suspects anything. Then he’ll ask why he’s not in France. “It feels like you’re very familiar with this town,” Holden will add.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Holden Has Already Made Some Inroads
Cane will say he is, it feels like so little has changed, yet everything has. “Have you told anybody you’re working again?” he’ll ask Holden. He’ll say he hasn’t. “Thank you for hiring me back, Mr. Dumas,” Holden will add. Cane will tell him he can call him Cane Ashby. Soon enough Aristotle Dumas will cease to exist.
Holden will be curious as to what’s changed. “It’s all part of the plan,” Cane will reply. He’ll add there’s something else he needs from him. “While I appreciate your dedication, there will be no questions about my intentions.” So, he’ll text Holden a list of names of people he should make connections with.
“Adam Newman, Chelsea Lawson, Mariah Copeland, Claire Newman, I’ve already made real inroads with her,” Holden will reply. “Making friends is an area I excel in, so consider it done.” Holden will say it’s an intriguing list of names. Then Cane will ask him to tell him everything he knows about Damian and his relationship with Lily Winters.
So, Holden will tell Cane that from the moment he met Lily, his buddy was interested. “Damian is falling for her, and hard.” Cane will ask if it’s reciprocated and Holden will say he’s not sure. “Can I at least ask, why do you care?” So, Cane will say he and Lily have history and Damian seems like a player.
Finally, Holden will thank Cane for the opportunity and he’ll head out. Cane will get lost in a flashback of he and Lily dancing at Crimson Lights. Then Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will walk in. “Cane?” she’ll say to him. “When did you get back in town?”
